Steering

Steering wheel pulses when I turn it.Fluid is where its to be at and no leaks.Could a pump go without leaking or making noise?Any ideas?Any help would be appreciated.

Did you recently steer the truck without it running? My Dad's 2000 Ranger used to do that for a while after it was moved and steered without it running but it would quit within a few miles.

I believe it's air bubbles.

Jack up the front end and move the steering wheel full left and full right a few times, holding it where it pulses or vibrates, tends to clear up after a few full locks.

PS: If you're moving the steering wheel with ease, and it's not difficult to move while tires are in contact with the ground, the power steering is working.

Air bubbles, park your truck with the wheel cranked over night, or just drive it, and itll take care of it.
