Icon5 Swapping a 99 2nd generation into a first generation Range

I have a 1994 2.3 Ranger 2 wd. The engine is blown and I purchased a 1999 2.3 Mazda to swap. The 1994 is completely rust free! Primer still white under bed. I want to swap 2nd generation to first. I have both engine pulled and I saved wiring harness on 99 and computer. My question is the fuel system. I understand from research the 94 is a return system and the 99 isn't. I am not sure how to proceed. This is my first foray into anything automotive. Kinda starting big I suppose. Any leads to a thread or information would be appreciated.

1999 would be a 2.5l, last 2.3l SOHC was 1997, not that it matters since you need to swap computer and wiring with engine

You will need to swap in the 1999 Fuel Pump assembly into the 1994 gas tank, it has the pump and fuel pressure regulator you need, and then just use the 1 hose to engine bay, return hose won't be connected

You will also need to add a 2nd O2 sensor after Cat converter as the 1995 and up Computers require an Emissions O2 sensor to work correctly, you can buy clamp on O2 bungs to add that O2 sensor

Ron I appreciate your knowledge! I pulled the bed to replace the fuel pump assembly and low and behold they are different sizes! LOL I pulled the tank from the 1999 Mazda to put in the ranger, so I can use the fuel pump. Of course there is a hose that goes to a canister over rear end that I assume is a charcoal style canister? I figured I could just plug this line or reroute it to the pump assembly that leads to same canister, making a loop. Now I have wiring differences.... The 94 has 4 wires and the 99 has 8. Some I can color match and I am thinking the others went to the canister? I am so new at this I struggle understanding the schematics a bit. I want to learn so I have that in my favor. Any help or direction would be appreciated!
