On my 06 FX I can walk away from the truck until it does'nt work anymore. Then walk an additional 25-30ft away. Hold the transmitter up against the bottom side of my chin / throat. Open mouth and push lock or unlock.

It works every time.

Aaron, you taking the lowest possible interpretation of the word "maintain" simply shows that you have no actual relevant response to this matter. So as a result, you turn to stupid comments that you hope will distract others from the fact that you don't know what you are talking about. If it makes you feel better......

As for the chin thing, I don't know what made it work in your circumstances because I'm not there to see it and analyze it. However I can assure you that without a doubt, it is not your body amplifying the signal or acting like an antenna and fillings in your teeth have play no part in it.

With radio controlled airplanes if you lose contact raising the transmitter over your head you can, at times, regain contact/control with the plane. Most people try pointing the transmitter right at the object with very little success. But extra height seems to help.

In this situation could the extra height by placing the remote under the chin have a similar effect?

Sure can. Also things like how you hold it in your hand will effect it. The more of your hand that is blocking the signal, the shorter your range will be.

Well, the chin thing works. It's an old trick, I've been doing it since I've ever had a clicker...

Next time I'm in a big parking lot I'll try the elevation thing. (Chin / no chin)
