Ok I have an 02 4.0 XLT offroad extended cab. I made a trip to South Carolina over the weekend. I noticed my truck acting funny. When I would come to a stop light I noticed that the truck want to keep going. (this is hard to explain) I have my foot on the brake and the engine revs up just a little bit. The CEL is not on, I have never had this problem before does anyone have any ideas as to what it might be.

 

Idle Air Control Valve(IAC). New one runs about $50-70 from the Ford dealer. Does not throw a CEL when it's sticking, which is your condition.
