The time has come for me to make a decision on which truck to keep and which to sell. What would you do?

Both are 99 extended cab 4x4's with 10.50 bfg at's

Truck #1-(body swap)
Black with 01 front end, actually an xlt
under 80,000 miles
4.0

Most options
electric windows, locks, mirrors, remote entry, sliding window, cd, a/c, tilt, cruise
3:73L (rear)

Truck#2
Red
151,000 miles
3.0 FF
M5od 5 speed
few options
cd & a/c
3:73 open rear

Both trucks run good and have only minor things that need attention. Both trucks have good bodies. Either truck will need a little paint work before I sell. The red truck gets alot better mileage although I haven't actually checked it.

 

Keep the red one... just cause it's red.

 

I say sell the red one because it has more miles, and the black truck is more loaded.

Sell red because it has higher miles and is a 3.0 liter. I can't believe the 4.0 gets much worse gas mileage, but keep the black one.

 

id keep the red just for the manual trans. or swap a manual in the black truck and sell the red.

 

4.0L OHV get **** for MPG. always has..

3.0L manual you can pull a good 19mpg out of a 4x4. Justins truck is that way.

Pretty even split so far. The black truck is definatly more powerful and easier to drive because you don't have to shift. Sometimes shifting a manual is a pita. There is alot of hills in my area so I end up downshifting a good but in the red truck. The black truck is definatley a nicer truck and would bring more $ although maximum cash is not my motivation.

Well it depends why your selling them, if you want money sell the black since you'll get more for it and the red gets better mileage. If that doesn't matter keep the black, everyone knows blacks the best color anyway.

Just a couple reminder pics...I have changed the wheels and tires on the red one which makes it look much better.

 

keep the black one. Lower miles, better power. Might be harder to sell with the converted front clip.

For sure.. keep the black one, better engine, lots of options.. much much much more creature comforts in it... Sell the red one, use the cash to help the black one out a bit.. and call it a day! :-D

Well I think you guys convinced me, I am probably going to keep the black one. I just have to finish up some things on the red one sshe will be for sale.
