Hello, I am installing the 4 inch lift from superlift on my 2002 fx4. I am at the point where I have to mess with the cam bolts on the upper control arm (I am guessing to change the camber due to the lift) upon farther inspection my bolts on the upper control arm are just normal bolts and don't have the weird part cut off that they usually have.
Should I skip this step on the instructions? Or should I order bolts to replace the ones I have.
Definitely need adjustable cam bolts or you'll end up wearing uneven on the front tires. Can't get it aligned without them. I have the superlift as well, and with the most aggressive cam bolts I could find they are maxed out and could still use a bit more.
I got the non-greasable ones from Moog, but if you have the superlift ones I'd definitely say use those. Looks like the flat spot on them is so you can max them out without them moving after. Mine are all round, and fall out of adjustment after a year or two.
Not saying these are the best but they worked to adjust my front end when the SuperLift pieces wouldn't, running 33" at max lift using Coil-Over Shock, no T-Bars.
