Weird Tranny issues?
Weird Tranny issues?
Hard to explain!
When I had my cruise set my truck every once in a while would jerk. Not hard just feel a little pull kinda like the rpm climb 100 RPMs and the tranny grabed again.
Well then I was going down the interstate about 80MPH and it did it again. Felt like it started to down shift then decieded not too and hit overdrive again. Its not real noticible. Passengers don't notice it too much but I do. Only happends once in a great while. I was pulling a trailer last week and it never did it. Only when there is no weight. Maybe happends 2 times a week. My tranny dosen't do it on take off etehr. I did a smoky burnout the other day and beat on it a little to see if it would do it and nothing?????????

Who did the service on the tranny? They could have put the wrong fluid in it...

Do you have a limited slip rear end. My truck does something similar and we think we determined it to be the limited slip causing the issues. I still haven't done anything about it tho.
EDIT: wait you got a level 2 so you have a torsen rear and I don't think those have the same issues the clutch type rears do.

Mine does the same thing Josh.
Next time you set cruise at any speed, dont let your foot off the gas until you KNOW the CC has engaged to the same speed you set it at.
Basically, what happens with mine, i'll set it to cruise at 75 (or any speed), then let off the gas as soon as i hit the set button. Well, it takes a second for the CC to engage fully and if i let my foot of the gas early it has to increase speed to get back to 75, which feels like a jerk until the truck is back up to speed.

man ive been telling you to do that no matter what, if its unloaded that is fine but otherwise i would turn OD off. you would be surprised how much of a difference it makes! that is why i think my tranny is still alive.

josh, sounds like your problem is right in line with the problems i am having now.....except for mine seems to be a slow shift into 3 and 4 gears.......then it takes FOREVER to go into OD....
