Yall carry fire extinguishers?

Been looking inot buying a sub-$25 buck extinguisher for the truck...well hopefully not to use on mine.

Where do you...where should I keep it? toolbox? too hot?

AND what class do yall run? just A? Would a dry bicarbonate marine extinguisher work better for use on vehicles?

Any ifo on yours or opinions welcome. Dont wanna waste 25 bucks. Ive already seen 2 cars on fire here in orlando and ive been here 3 months so I think its an ok purchase.

Something like this is class B/C, that would cover anything automotive, its either gonna be electrical or gas lines or something.
Amazon Amazon

personally I don't have one though. they make plenty specific for automotive.

I don't have one in the Ranger but did my last trucks just to have cause you never know. I had it mounted on the passenger kick panel in my '69. I've only had to use a fire extinguisher on a car once and that was because one of the front calipers locked up and caught the dust shield on fire.

you think a 25 dollar extinguisher is going to put out a car fire?

if your buying it for other reasons like....some electrical from your audio system is burning up, or like mentioned, the brake issue, then it'll be an ok purchase. putting out a car fire with a 25 dollar extinguisher is like bringing a knife to a gun fight.

Google 'Fire Aide 2000'
I'm ordering another small one soon for the wife's truck.
We use the additive in our tankers and engine trucks , also use refillable extinguishers with it mounted on all our equipment at the station.

sweet my dudes. Yeah i dont mean put out a full fledged entire car fire. but somethings small then no problem. and me and my buds do bonfires every weekend night so you never know when you need one. so a class B/C is fine? ill run out and snag one. but i didnt get an answer to the dry question? do i want a bicarbonate one?
