Made a new console lid and moved the hinges to the rear. The stock one was broke to pieces. Going to use the same material on the upper part of the door panel. Its fake leather, not as thick as the real stuff. Finally I have an armrest to use.

Belt and brakes today. I went to a place that has in stock goodyear gatorbacks. Well... they did not have the correct size for my 4.0L. They figured this out AFTER installing the new tensioner. While I was there I asked if he could give me a deal on brakes. I decided to get the shoes, hardware, and drums, too. While they were installing, I noticed the box and showed it the manager. I said this does not look promising--the box says, "Brake SHOSE" (not my typo, theirs!). I said, "I thought I was getting shoes?" Furthermore, the box refered to brake "fiuid". Guess what. The SHOSE did not fit. After they corrected the problem half an hour after closing time, I guessed correctly--the drums did not fit. So we agreed to put the old drums on and put the new ones on tomorrow. Has anyone hear of DASH4 brakes. I know someone will tell me I should have dashed4 the door and not paid them.

Are gatorbacks impossible to find? The shop will put this on for free if I bring in the belt.

Washed her up, even though she's still filthy in the pic. Dug approximately 10.3 pounds of mud out of the rear bumper...Time for a tube bumper instead of that catch-all stock bumper. haha

 

Took out all the garbage from the cab, and bought a car scent. New car smell.

Finished sanding and painting step bars (ill post some pics later) Changed fuel filter....got some gas in my eye. Had truck on ramps while changing fuel filter. I had to go down the road for a minute, so i backed the truck off of the ramps, got out of the truck and got into a conversation. So...i forgot about the ramps, and launched my truck into orbit. Woops.

Too bad that was the coolest thing i've ever done in my truck.

Oh yeah. I went on a sparkplug run, and NOT A SINGLE STORE out of 4 had motorcraft plugs for my truck. What? Why? Anybody know?

Whats another good spark plug for our 4.0 SOHC? I heard that Bosch was garbage.

 

A friend of mine warned me about the same. Even though I was extremely careful with the gas line, I got some gas in my eye. He told me it'd burn bad, but it didn't. Maybe it was poor quality gas. lol.

Yeah i didnt get that much in my eye, but i was expecting the spray and i was shielding myself from it. I guess thats what i get for not being patient and going through the steps to release the pressure.
