Hey everyone,

I have a 2004 with some pretty crummy seats, and I'm looking into getting some new ones.
They're just the plain ole solid black cloth 60/40 bench seats. Looking to move to some nice and comfy buckets.

What seats do you have in your ranger? Stocks or did you pull some from something else?
Anybody got anything unique that's not done by everyone on the forum (ie explorer seats lol)?

I've been trying to hunt down a set of Explorer Limited leather seats with heating and power lumbar, but with no luck. Anybody have these? How do you like them? they look soooo comfy, are they as comfy as they look?
Also, does anybody know if they made those seats in Gray? I have a gray interior, but I've only ever seen pics of those seats in tan. I'm also not really sure if I want power seats, I dont really adjust them often.

I'm about ready to give up on my search, and get something else. I really just want good lumbar support (I plan on road tripping a lot) and heated would be nice too (I hate how long the truck takes to heat up), but I also don't mind adding in a seat heater kit to something non-heated, I like DIY projects. Which also means i don't mind having to do a little cutting and fabricating to get seats to fit, so tell me what you know!

So what kinda seats do you have? How do you like them? what material are they? where'd you get them from? heated? power or manual?

Tell me/show me what you got!

 

I'm running seats from a 2001 Explorer Sport. They are leather with driver's side manual lumbar. I found them in the local junkyard, and when I sat in them, I knew they were coming home with me. They are very comfortable seats with decent bolstering that holds you in the seat pretty well.

They originally had power tracks, but the motor quit so I switched the tracks out with manual ones from a similar set of seats in the junkyard. I'm not sure if they offered these with heat, but these don't have it. I live in Florida so don't really need it anyway. I recently had to replace the lower seat cover on the driver's side because it became pretty worn.

I've had the seats in the truck for about 9 years now, and I don't think I would want any other seat. They are definitely WAY better than what came in my truck stock.

Nice! I like those, they sound comfy, which is what I'm really after. I can add heaters later, so that's no dealbreaker. These are popular at my local junkyard, so maybe I'll start looking for a set in good condition. Thanks!
