I take it this would be a 2019 and up Ranger?
The dash LED string is part of the collision avoidance system
Should come on with key on and then go off, thats a bulb test, all the dash lights should do this with key on
If you are parked close to something in front of the vehicle those LEDs may stay on
If you are driving and get too close to the back of another vehicle they can come on, and brakes may be applied automatically, depends on the speed you are traveling
