I have a 5.0L. But it's not in a RBV.

We have 3 RBV's in our yard, now all belonging to my Dad. A smashed up 90 Ranger, a 91 Exploder, and my 94 Exploder (now Dad's).

try starting in a new thread next time
3.0 -- decent gas mileage, lacks the massive amount of ballz that most people like
4.0 -- ok gas mileage, more than enought power

5.0- More POWER and More TORQUE. Pretty good gas mileage as well when not in the throttle

With a 3.0, you dont get power or gas mileage, so its a lose lose situation. lol Is that true? They dont have much more power than the 4cyl, but yet they dont get great gas mileage either. I'd want either the power, or gas mileage, not a little bit of both.

3.0 seems to be the medium between the two, when done right the 3.0 can get decent mileage but not the amount of hp that the 4.0 has, the 4-banger has the mileage

I wish i had a 4.0 over this 3.0. The 3.0 doesn't get great gas milage and it doesn't have lots of power. Knowing what i know now i would have either got the 4 banger or the 4.0.

how sad, there are only 16 4 cyl trucks on this site out of 180!!!!!

The 4 cyl.'s acceleration really isn't that bad, specially since I can get 23 mpg without even trying, its a whole lot better than the 11 mpg my old truck got, and it wasn't any faster than my ranger, and it was a V8! lol
