I got mine for a steal brand new. Im pretty sure the "kiddies" working at the dealership didnt have a clue what they were doing. Its almost impossible to get my truck for what i paid for it. Infact after 1.5 years of driving, 40,000kms, i have gotten trade in values Higher or equivelant to what i paid for it originally.

Bought my 90 2.9 4x4 from my brother for $1100 with 317,000 on it. But it has a Jasper engine with only about 25,000 on it and the clutch, mast. cyl, slave cyl, ball joints, rod ends all new. Then I bought another 90 2.9 4x2 for $800 and put that body on the 4x4 cuz it was clean and had a fiberglass bed.

The Ranger was a gift. I think my dad got a hell of a deal on it. He paid $10k in 2004 for my fully loaded Edge Plus with only 35,9?? miles (Trade in value at that time was $12k). Ford wanted an arm and a leg for a Ranger (strip model) so we went to the local Ford credit union's repo section.

Back in '06
$1150 for it, with 57k on it. It was totalled. Bought it, and dad and I replaced the valance, the driver's side window, and airbags, and then had it inspected.
Here it sits 3 years later. 100k miles on it. Its had a hard life. I drove it like an idiot for a year or 2, tore up a front fender, and my dad backed into me, and I had a classmate clip the left rear below the taillight. Haven't put 100 miles on it in the past year and a half..
Awaiting a few final parts to have the 04+ front end together. Getting some paint soon.

I have the Gibson too and love it, my brother got his from ebay but I wanted a valid warranty(the winter salt here destroys metal) so I got it here. gibson 317000, or you can try one of the vendors here on the forum, they are allways having sales/specials. Either way its a great system and very easy to install and for the price you give it a look.
