Ive got 2 of those flamed tribal tailgate thingnys.. you can get them at canadian tire, ive got one on the tailgate and one on the front.
Dude, those are STICKERS you can buy at crappy tire. They're a cheap mirror finish.

Mine are stainless/billet trim. Not a vinyl sticker.

Very clean and well done install, although on principle I'm not a big fan of DVD screens visible to the driver.

I'm willing to bet I was the first one here to lower a Ranger. If not, then at least a GenIII. Mine's been dropped since '96. And I was prolly the first to come up with the HD Ranger concept. I was going to make mine one back in 2K, but didn't have the money. Now I've just lost interest in it and there's too many around.

n3elz,

Rarely ever run the FT 1500M on the 50W setting.... My antenna is a Hustler 5/8 wave that provides me with enough gain to hit most of the repeaters full quieting on low or medium. Generally have the arm rest vertical to allow for cooling and better audio.

OR 4x4

Cool. Wasn't sure how much you used it. I was almost shocked the first time I really heated it up. I'm just using a 1/4 wave in the center of the roof, so I don't have that extra 1 or 2 db of gain to help. Of course, I talk on 2m like I talk on here -- long winded!

The Hustler 5/8 wave was my very first antenna and I still have it! 20 years old and still works as well as the day I bought it. I'm giving it to Tom Barcia now that he just got his license. What's your call? I guess I can look it up if you don't want to post it.

Glad to hear, although I'm a hypocrite as well, as I've installed Avic N1s with the parking brake interlock connected to acc. power myself.

I think DVD screens have their place.. ok... two places: 1) in show vehicles 2) behind the driver's field-of-vision in vans and large SUVs. Nowhere else. And secretly I'm hoping the fad of putting 30 screens all over a show vehicle will burn out quickly.. If I want a TV, I'll buy a TV, not a car with 30 tiny 7" screens! I know others will disagree, but I think the screens in most cars are a case of doing it because you can, not because you need to, or should. Map and guidance systems theres at least an arguement for, although I'm leaning towards the opinion that they should operate only in park as well, but theres no reason for the driver of a vehicle to watch TV. Thats a serious safety compromise of your focus of attention.

With Magic!

Theres a touch latch inside it. So you press in and it pops open. Which was real ***** when it fell off the second day I had the thing..

About the bed lines, there arnt as far off as they look, its the angle. It is because fiberglass isnt perfect, and because there is still a little bit of bed under it. The passanger side is perfect, not sure why this side is that far off...

hehe thats a given... i definitely didnt NEED to install those lcd's... and my wallet probably would have thanked me if I hadnt ;o)

Now... GPS systems being enabled only when the vehicle is parked seems counter-intuitive, expecially if you have a unit that gives audible directions as youre driving...

Yep, I've done this one as well, but mines a 6 disc in dash out of an Escape. I bet you beat me to it :)

The 6CD is a great radio with more output power than many of the other models for some reason. I love mine. With 3 ways and a sub it sound very good indeed.
