Icon5 Will my 2000 ranger 3.0 v6 flex fuel go well in the snow?

I recently moved to northern colorado and am wondering if my ranger will go well in the snow. Its a 2000 3.0 v6. Its completley stock with 28” tires. Im probably gonna add some sandbags in the back for some extra weight but my biggest concern is if id make it to the mountains or not for snowboarding. My rangers a 4x4 but im still curious if itll do well or not. Around town they ususlly keep the streets pretty cleared but the side roads and parking lots suck and the snow can pile up super quick. Any advice is much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Depends, what tires are on the truck? Overall if you are sticking roads(even in the mountains) the ranger should handle it just fine.
