wiring help

Is there a link to the 42 pin plug wiring diagram and circuits each wire is for?
Also is the mazda Bseries wiring harness the same as the ranger?

Only source for that info would be the EVTM for the model year of the vehicle

EVTM = electical vacuum troubleshooting manual

EVTM is part of the Shop Manuals Ford sends out to Dealers for each model each year.

If you buy a Shop Manual set it often will NOT HAVE the EVTM with it, lol.
Thats because it is the most used and often gets "lost"

EVTM lists all wires and grounds, and the location of each

EVTM for a Ranger will cover all engines, transmissions, 2WD, 4WD and body styles for that year
It will also have addendums for changes during that year

And just to stress this point, if you have a 1999 Ranger a 1998 or 2000 EVTM "might" be close, but you won't know until you find out it isn't right

Ranger and Mazda B-series are usually the same as far as wiring, but never compared it wire for wire

Do a search on ebay, I found one there for my 1990 Ranger. Keep in mind its a separate manual from the over all shop manual. I just searched for 1990 ford ranger EVTM and found four of them for my truck. Also turned up the regular shop manuals and manuals for other years as well.

Mine looks like this;

And thanks to RonD for the info. I've been needing one of these and didn't know what to look for.

Good find

They did start coming on CDs in the 90's but often can't be opened/read unless you run older windows software, talking windows '95, "maybe" win 2000 or XP

And I remember one CD manual that wouldn't open unless I rolled back the year on my computer to 1999, it had an expire date, lol.

That's funny! I'm running Windows 10 so I doubt it would run on my comp, but I'd rather have the physical manual anyway just hope the diagrams are not tiny little pictures like my Chiltons manual has on a lot of stuff.

Thanks again for the info, ebay also has the rest of the set for Aerostar/Ranger/BroncoII Vol. 1 and 2. I plan to get those later on but I already ordered the EVTM, it's used but in good shape and only $14.99 plus four bucks shipping.
