you mean the HOT air intakes?

 

I'm just shocked to find such "extra" intake runner volume that is absolutely unnecessary except for EPA numbers. The over-all view of the engine isn't too impressive, either.

 

your point? its a truck i bet that thing will take so much abuse and work that it doesnt really matter. who looks under the hood anyway? i dont look under mine even when i had a supercharger or now that i have a 5.4. its an engine if it functions then that works for me!

 

larger intake runners would help a motor, since they would flow more easily threw the plenum, a manifold with larger runners would make more power and more mpg, it is less meaning full on efi since you dont need the added intake volume for air fuel mix but larger runner wouldnt hurt.

and how do you know did you pull the top of the motor apart and measure them out?
