1995 4.0l Runs fine but no gauges work

1995 Ranger 4.0l

Everything was working until!! Pulled dash and changed heater box behind dash reinstalled dash. Changed head gaskets and cleaned injectors. Eliminated al AC system and removed all EGR system. Also changed 2 out of 3 O2 sensors. Truck now starts and runs fine but no gauges work. Put cluster in another ranger and everything works. Checked all fuses. Tried pulling some fuses that had read could cause this and also changed GEM module still no luck. Have spent a lot of time checking connections and wiring. Anyone ever have this happen and fix this problem PLEASE Help>>>

1995 cluster wiring diagram below, 1995 is slightly different than 1996-2003 cluster, and nothing like 1994 and earlier, so a bit of a unicorn but not for all gauges

If no gauges work then you are missing 12volts or ground, simple as that, if just most gauge don't work then its not just 12v/ground, so "all" is a powerful word to use

The volt gauge is just that, no special wiring just a ground and 12v from fuse 11

THANK YOU !!
Would you have the diagram for the connector on the engine?
I have a quite a few pins the seem to be connected.
And I have only connected 1 plug behind the dash but not the other 3 in the firewall.

There is a Ground strap that runs from engine head to the firewall, its the MAIN GROUND for the cab electrics, its often left off after engine work

A little heads up
When a vehicle is being assembled ALL the parts have been painted first, so bolting them together does NOT ground them together
There are several ground straps on a vehicle
Usually the the battery negative cable goes to the engine, because starter motor and alternator need best ground
Then you have:
Engine to firewall, for cab electrics
Engine to frame, for tail lights and fuel pump
Frame to rad support for head lights parking lights and horn

Engine/trans sit on rubber mounts
Body/cab sit on rubber mounts
So there are NO "regular grounds" because it's metal, straps or wires must be used

Good stuff

Visually inspect the wire connectors, one is going to be loose, most likely a 12v wire, so doesn't always plug into cluster tightly
