1999 ranger 4x4 speedometer not working

Hoping to get a little help. I have a 99 ranger that im finishing up with my carb 5.0 swap. I am trying to get the speedometer to work. I have replaced the ABS sensor. The truck was flooded and I have had to replace a lot of parts and im not sure if there is something else I need to look into to get it to work. Or maybe it just wont work? I did install a computer out of a 97 explorer to get the tach to work, also the dash out of the explorer.
Thanks for your time

1998 to 2000 Rangers used the rear ABS sensor for the speed signal
This sensor's wires run to the ABS module, and are spliced and run to GEM Module behind the radio as well

The GEM Module takes the ABS sensor's 20,000ppm AC voltage signal and converts it to an 8,000ppm AC signal the speedometer/odo, cruise and computer need
If sensor is not working the ABS light will come on, and of course no speedo/odo

Does the odometer work?
If so then problem is in the cluster's speedometer, as speedo/odo share the one speed signal wire

The 1999 Ranger cluster Tach will work with with a V8, you just needed to ground one pin on the cluster, just FYI

On a 1997 or 1999 cluster the grey/black stripe wire on Pin1 connector C215 is the speed signal for both speedo/odo from the GEM module

If you have an automatic trans this speed signal from GEM also needs to run to pin58 of computer, should also be a grey/black wire
Explorer's used the speed signal from 4 wheel ABS instead of GEM, 4WABS modules convert 20,000ppm signal to 8,000ppm

Does your 1999 Ranger have 4WABS?

Hey! thanks for the reply. I have not been able to drive it very far and have not checked to see if the odometer works. Next time I get it out I will make sure I watch, but I believe that it does not. My ranger does have the 4WABS module. I have replaced it with two of them out of the junkyard because I thought they were not working. I've been having issues to get them to bleed. Im currently trying to find someone with a reader that I can use to get the module to actuate to get them bled.
