2003 - 4.0L Spark Plugs/Wires Question

Okay so there a bunch of different routes to take when buying Wire & Plugs. The truck definitely needs new plugs/wires because it has a slight hestitation when it takes off and slows down at times. Should I spend the 95+ dollars on plugs/ wires or should I be more modest with my purchase on these? I know at some point I am just paying for a brand name but I want quality and dont mind paying a little but should I really go top shelf here? I went on Napas website for this

I would just get a good 8-8.8mm wire and call it good. Check your plugs and the gap while you are at it.

no offense or anything but that doesn't really do anything for me. I'm pretty sure that these plugs and wires have been on the truck for maybe 40k miles or so and like i said there is slight hesitation when the truck takes off and sometimes when it slows down. Can anybody out there recommend a certain brand of wires/plugs to install?

I just got STI wires and Denso Iridium plugs for mine. Now I'm gonna get a SD coil and a tuner. I'm waiting till my truck gets closer to 70-80k miles. They say the 4.0 SOHC runs best on motorcraft parts.

yup, motorcraft plugs is what i've heard and read.

summit has wires MSD Ignition 31259 - MSD 8.5mm Super Conductor Spark Plug Wire Sets - Overview - SummitRacing.com

plugs are here Motorcraft SP432 - Motorcraft Platinum Spark Plugs - Overview - SummitRacing.com
i was unable to find them on the napa site.
so wires plus plugs come in at $ 80+ tax/shipping.

I have 94k miles on the 03' Ranger. I dont mind spending a little more to get the good products....Who is they? Ford? Now when you say I tuner, do you know anything about about removing the rev limiter so the truck can go over 90 mph?
