Hey everybody.
I have a massive headache with my newly bought Ranger. Its a PJ 3.0 TDCi 4x4 auto.
The issue is that the speedometer is showing much less than actual speed. For example when I'm doing 100km/h it shows 45km/h, if im doing 60km/h it shows 30km/h and so on.
4wd light is on all the time aswell. I dont know but maybe they are the same issue. (4wd actuator works fine)
The car also has what I think is reconditioned gearbox since it looks like brand new. I've checked the electrical connections/wiring and everything seems to be fine.
Ive contacted Ford for a new VSS and they said they have never sold one. That made me second guess my first thought that it must be the sensor. Also they said it has 2 speed sensors on the gearbox. I think i located bith of them on top of the gearbox.
What makes it difficult to diagnose is that it shows the speed but it's calculating it wrong and i dont know what to do.
Any advice would be appreciated.
It's running 52 U502 gearbox if that helps.
Im thinking TCM, ECU or dashboard. Any advice how to make sure without buying everything new?

You are not in North America so you have a T6 Ranger which is much different than the ones we had, 1983 to 2011
