2011 Ranger needs difficult to find rear brake backing plate

The axle code is 97. Setup is the disk/drum combo. I am trying to identify all options. Is it available as part of an assembly? Is there another plate designed close enough to modify to accept caliper and parking brake parts? Has anyone done or heard of a conversion to just drum brakes done?
I might have only as many as 3 or 4 trucks to look at in salvage yards throughout New York State and as easy as these deteriorate, it doesn’t sound hopeful that I will find something usable.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I'm assuming you checked with a Ford dealer?

Correct. Parts person confirmed what I found on Ford OEM Direct that it is a discontinued part. Multiple parts stores offer no options from third parties. One store that deals with used parts in Brewerton, NY refuses to deal with this particular part b/c of its unreliability as a used part.
