4x4 Control module

I've recently purchased a 2002 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 and the 4x4 was out. After everything I've narrowed it down the the control module. I purchased a replacement but it seems to be a different model and while it still hooks up it blows the brake pedal position fuse #9 any way I can make this model work or will I have to purchase a new one?

What model number was the one you took out vs. the one you put in?

The first number comes back for a 2002 ford explorer and it does not seem to be compatible for a 2002 Ford Ranger.

The second number is a bad number. I get no search results with it.

Edit NVM you had 2 4s in the number. The first one is a H. That one is for a 2001-2005 Ford Ranger and Explorer. Correct part # is 1L54-7H417-ad

There's one on ebay for $134 2001 2005 Ford Ranger Explorer 4x4 Transfer Case Module 1L54 7H417 AC | eBay

So from my research it does not look like you will be able to make the one for the Explorer work. It is only compatible with 2002 and 2003 Ford Explorer 4 doors.

These ones here are the only ones that will work on your truck

Would an AB model work? Most sources say it will.
