94 ranger crank no start no spark no fuel
1994 4.0 2wd 6cyl.
my brother got into an accident. Front headlight was the only thing damaged. It hasn't started since.
No spark, no fuel pump prime, and no CEL when the key is turned to the on position. I changed coil pack and cranck sensor aswell. So I'm guessing pcm? That's what controls those three things right? Maybe a new pcm or fuses and relays. I.just got a multimeter so I'm going to check power.
Is the pcm behind driver headlight? Next to firewall? Behind radio (towards driver) or passenger kick panel(right). I've heard all four. Lol

Behind drivers head light is the EDIS-6 Spark module, its on the front side of rad support, and is often damaged in front end collisions
It looks like this: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/rZMAA...-O7/s-l300.jpg
Have you checked Inertia Switch in passenger foot well?
It cuts power to fuel pump if there is a sudden stop, i.e. accident
It should be behind the passenger kick panel, shown here: https://static.cargurus.com/images/s...1600x1200.jpeg
Its a smaller black box with a RED button on the top, if button is up then it has been tripped, press button back down to reset it, but once tripped it will trip again if you hit a bump hard, or even slam a door
In 1994 the PCM(computer) is in engine bay, drivers side between firewall and inner fender, below power brake booster but in the corner, just follow the large wiring harness

Ok if I get it out can I take it to Ford and can they tell me if it's working so I don't have to but a new one?
No, on any of them, can't test EDIS, or PCM(computer), inertia switch doesn't need to be tested
Check EVERY FUSE in the engine fuse box with your Volt/OHM meter
Put meter on OHMs
Pull out a fuse
touch meter probes to each tab on fuse, should see 0 OHMS thats a connection, fuse is good, not 0 OHMs fuse is bad
Yes, there could be bad PCM fuse(fuse #4) or bad PCM relay in engine fuse box

Should have resistance or 0 one way and no connection the other way

A Diode is a "one-way" street, for electricity, it is used to prevent electricity from flowing backwards thru a circuit

Is any of this info the same for the 93 4cyl

No, on the spark system
1993 2.3L Ranger used ICM(ignition control module) on the front of lower intake manifold
Yes, on the inertia switch in the cab, same on all Rangers with fuel injection
