95 Ranger Dash not working

My 95 3.0 XLT dash (speedometer, odometer) are not working. Gas, temp gauges work fine and I hit a pothole about a week ago and the check engine light popped on so it works some. Not sure where to start looking for the issue if it’s the motor, fuse, or if I should just replace the dash. I know after 95 the clusters are different than >94 so I haven’t found much info on my year

Welcome to the forum

Yes, 1995 is a single year Cluster not easily swapped to 1996-2003 models, can't be swapped at all to 1994 and earlier
Check fuses 11, 15 and 25 in Cab Fuse box, they all power different parts of Cluster

Speedo/odo are electric and share a signal from a VSS(Vehicle speed sensor) on the rear of transmission or transfer case if 4x4, no VSS then no speedo/odo
Its a 2 wire sensor, drivers side of tail shaft, on 2WD

Check that connection, computer also uses VSS and will set a code(P0500) and turn on the CEL(check engine light) if the VSS is unplugged or damaged
