96 ranger stalls at idle and then won't start

96 ranger stalls at idle and then won't start
My 96 ford ranger 4 cylinder manual was running pretty well until two days ago.
Basically what's happening is, if let the rpms down to idle ot begins to run rough and if I let it go, it will stall out. From there the vehcile won't start, if I wait 30 min maybe an hour the vehicle will start and begin the run again.
There are no check engine lights.
Any thoughts?
