ABS Kill Switch

ABS Kill Switch

OK i beleive i set everything up right!
i did fuse 14 which is a 10amp fuse. so when i turn off the abs the light comes on so i went for a test run and my speedometer doesnt work and it doesnt shift gears? is this how it is for you guys with these switches?

cause you killed the power to the VSS...youre check engine light will come on eventually

I kno i should of read more abput it first but what the hell is the point of that?! Y wuld ppl fabricate this?

wont that cause the odometer to not work too. seems like alot of negatives to one positive. i guess i cant speak till im in the situation when i need the abs to be off on a trail.

Dam tht seems silly. Oh well its too late now. Suppose ppl jus throw it on wen they need it n turn if off right after.

On upside i found some strange aftermarket box thats all wired n taped everywhere and it was velcroed in there. Definietly not a ford option. Hooked up to a light bulb in dash and a wire foin to the horn. Some kind of alarm or security but i never heard it work so ripped it out.

The reasoning behind disabling the ABS system is while driving on loose gravel or such one or more wheels my lock up while braking and causing the ABS system to activate. If you’re on a steep incline headed for a ditch you’ll naturally push harder since you’re apparently not slowing thus compounding the problem, as all four wheels lock. Vicious circle…You want to stop but the ABS system thinks your skidding on pavement.

That Box you found is the Progressive Auto Insurance Co. Flo Meter.
