harness kill-switch

so I wanna wire up a kill-switch (on/off) for my LED tailgate bar. i was told by a buddy of mine tonight that its really easy to spot me out on the highway so I was kinda wanting a switch so I can hit it and I blend in with traffic at night. IF I NEEDED TO lol

whats the easiest way to go about this?

im guessing that its hooked up through your trailer lights plug? probably find the power wire for it and run it off a toggle.

Put a toggle on the negative wire, it'll take down the whole bar.

you never seen them. the toggle is like your key fob. has a black box that is the receiver. had one from my old truck

was gonna make a kill switch for my brake lights but that's really dangerous if it shorts. so I'll just do the Line of Fire.

cool idea. switching the negative should do it

i put in a break light kill switch. no biggie. only had to use it once, but im glad i had it. . i set it up to light up when i hit the break, so i have a quick visual check to make sure the system is working.
