ABS Trifecta Fault

Greetings All. Got a 2015 Ranger 3.2 diesel (4x4) and trying to help out a friend. She told me her ABS and hill descent etc lights were coming on randomly. I immediately thought of an ABS sensor fault. Ran diagnostics and my Autel MS906BT gave me codes for the Steering Wheel Angle Sensor, N/S/R ABS Sensor. I cleared the codes and road tested for at least 20 miles and the lights never came back on. I told her they will but hadn't yet. The next day they did and she returned the truck. Immediately DTC for N/S/R ABS sensor and nothing else. So I ordered a 2028436 sensor from Ford. Fitted that this morning and erased codes and went for a drive. With 100m the DTC was back but this time with the Steering Wheel Angle sensor. Running with Realtime graphs of the N/S/R ABS sensor and the Steering Angle sensor, I could see the ABS sensor was spiking a lot. It was following the vehicle speed but was punctuated with positive spikes, never negative spikes. DTC for ABS is C0037:14-0A Claiming Short to Gnd or O/Circ. DTC for Steering Angle Sensor is C0051:62-0A Signal Compare Failure. The spiking on the trace is not indicative of reluctor ring cracking, so my first thought is a bad supply to the sensor or the sensor itself is bad. There is quite a lot of smd electronics ion a sensor and as they are mass produced i wondered about the failure rate from new. The SWA sensor doesn't glitch during a test, yet comes up as a present and current fault. I am not a Ford man and as such am not familiar with the vehicles layout. Help or pointers will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum

We are in North America so will not have info on your T6 Ranger model, our Rangers were smaller and 1983 thru 2011 with no diesels, well they tried diesels in 1983-1985 but not many takers, lol

Best bet is Australian Ranger forums, they got the T6 Rangers only, so will have all the info on your model, and its in English, lol
T6 Rangers were sold world wide EXCEPT in North America
