Count the sequence of the flashes. Like 2 flashes pause 7 flashes. Then post back.

Turn the passenger bag off and go for a drive. Does the light by the switch that says OFF stay on? If not the LED is burned out and that will cause the warning light on the instrument panel to flash. You need to replace the LED in the switch circuit board or the assembly. I removed board and replaced the LED.

Do a site search for the air bag light and you will find some info. This problem is why I found and joined this forum.

+1

The Light Flash Code will point you toward the solution. Turn on the key and start counting. Then post the LFC and we will help.

Its on with mine as well, and I Had Gooyear do a diag on it, and its because of the Drivers seat belt, the inside of it has a plastic sensor that goes bad. You have to replace the sealt belt part thats bolted to the floor.

I have a new one, but I think the seat has to come out first, be fore you can unbolt it. They also said your AB wont deploy when that light is on too...

Thats what it was with my 02 edge.

I may have possibly fixed my problem.. My buddy who has a 00' ranger unplugged my seat belt sensor to avoid the annoying reminder to fasten my damn belt.. It didn't cause a problem in his truck, so we tried it on mine.. Well, maybe they're different.. Because, I decided to plug it back in and see if anything changed and I haven't seen the light again.. DOES IT MAKE SENSE FOR THAT TO HAVE BEEN MY PROBLEM??

Yes it does, when I take my seats out to spray down the interior I get the same thing cause of the unplugged connector. They changed a lot of stuff in 01.
