Air conditioning question

I have a 1995 Ford Ranger XLT supercab, with a 2.3 4 cylinder. I know where my a/c leak is coming from, I just do not know what the name of the part is. It is where you hook up to recharge your ac on the driver side, both hookups have a black cap but this one is on the driver side, close to the battery. If anyone know what part this is please help. All help is appreciated.

The best way to identify a part is to google it. For example, google "Ford Ranger A/C Parts", then look at the pictures from the links that the search provides.

Keep in mind that any part that is replaced in the A/C system will require a complete recharge, and in most cases, the dryer and orifice tube should be replaced, as an A/C leak will induce moisture to enter the system, plugging the dryer and this tube.

Schroeder Valves are what is inside the caps holding the refrigerant in until it needs to be hooked up to gauges that tell you what pressures are in the system, It can get over 300psi and so its not to be messed with, consider your tires, hold how much psi?

I think after 8 years, they have figured it out.
