airbag light after changing seat

airbag light after changing seat

I recently purchased a seat of the junk yard and now the airbag light on the dash stays on. 2008 4x4 4.0 ext cab
Any suggestions?

What year truck did you get the seat from? Did it have all the same electrical connections?

Well if the electronic arent hooked up there's your problem....

i checked, all the wires on old seat and new seat use the same pins on the connector

Have the truck scanned to see what the specific airbag code is, good chance one of the sensors in the junkyard seat is bad especially if the truck was in a wreck.

I fixed it, I took the seatbelt latch off old seat and put on new,, airbag light went away. I think there is a stress sensor on the belt for the airbag and where this truck was wrecked, it must have activated the airbag sensor
