ya i would change the oil just for added protection cause you never know if water found its way indide or not. i would also change the fuel filter. im not sure how long it takes for gasoline to start to gel up but it wouldnt hurt. think preventative maintenance with everything. even clean your battery cables real quick

gas starts to gel/gum up in about a month. Stabil is a dam good product but its not going to help much cuz it was sitting already. best thing to do is to try an start it, it should start up after a little while. once it is started leave it run for awhile, its going to act like ur starting a cold carbed engine. that cuz the fuel injectors are clogged. after it runs for a while turn it off then try starting it again. once all this is done replace ur fuel filter and get some fuel injector cleaner and put that in ur gas tank. and in the future put Stabil in any gas tank ur going to leave sit for a while.

lol
Just plug the new battery and it "should" work. The gas will probably need to be replaced. I forgot to put Stabil in my motorcycle this past December and my battery needs a charge too. What I plan on doing is as soon as the weather is done being a bish, I'm starting it up and running through the old gas as quickly as possible so I can put new gas in.
I did that with my sister's bike once, and it had MINOR starting problems, but my sister's bike is carb’d, so that could be the reason as well.
If it starts, either siphon the old gas or just run through it as much as possible and put new gas in. You should be fine unless there are other underlying issues

I'd still use the gas as is. There were times where other cars I've owned (carburated) would sit for as much as 6 months with the same fuel in them. Never had a problem with them starting, running or anything out of the ordinary. Unless things are that much different in a cold climate, the fuel should be fine.
