Icon7 Connect the MAP sensor to my ECU. Wiring missing.

Hello friends, I'm Marcio from Brazil and I really need your help. Going straight to the point, my car is with the map sensor off, there is no trace of its wires. I looked around the net for the diagram or pinout of my ecu, I even looked at other ford cars and they did not hit my:

There is also a loose wire that runs alongside the harness of the cylinder head:

Welcome to the forum

We don't have the 2.5l Duratec engines in our Rangers in North America

MAP sensors have not been used for many many years on Ford Rangers, 1991 2.9l engine was the last of them.

They were replaced by the MAF sensor which will be on your air intake.

I can find no EEC-V diagram with MAP sensor hook up, and I have quite a few diagrams.
So it doesn't belong on your engine which is why there are no wires for it.

If you have "computer codes" that refer to MAP sensor then post the code here, OBD2 codes are often in error

Thank you for your quick response. I ordered a scanner, which should arrive in a few days and then I'll have the engine error codes. As soon as the scanner arrives I will pass the codes on this post.
What about the loose wire, any idea about it?

No idea, never seen an International Ranger(T6) let alone one with the 2.5 L Duratec (L5-VE) engine.
It won't be for a sensor, they need at least 2 wires, single wires on engines can be for Senders, like oil pressure Sender or Coolant temp sender, these are used for dash board gauges.
Could even be for a light, they use 1 wire.

Whats that tube in the foreground of the picture?
It has a capped port, maybe something on that port was removed and wire went to that.

All vehicle and engine wiring is not used on all vehicles, there are options that require wiring but not all vehicles get all options, so those wires are just not connected to anything.

Best bet would be to clean off that wire and get the color code for it, looks like Red with Green stripe, so red/green code
Then find wiring diagram for your year

That's the heating system. It was cut. It's already warm enough here in Rio de Janeiro ... :))

Yes, it's green and red. This is the point. I'm having trouble finding the diagram for this car. These were the last cars that arrived from Argentina with this configuration. It's a "white fly." Anyway, if you know a place where I can search these diagrams, it would throw some light on me. I'll wait for the scanner to arrive and check the sensors information. Thank you.
