I just got my 2006 4.0L Level 2 Ranger back from the shop after over a year. Needless to say, things are not how I left them. I have this one connector that isn't even connected anymore. There are no codes to indicate what it might be or P/N on the connector itself. It is circled in red, plugged in from before the shop, in the attachment below. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Chaoscreater96 It is maybe 1/4" x 1/4" and grey with no P/N
Single wire connector, usually bolted on to/with one of the coil pack bolts
Radio condensers were used for years and years on coils to lower AM radio interference from the "spark noise"
With resistor wires and resistor spark plugs the noise was greatly reduced, but you will still find these noise suppression condensers on most gasoline vehicles

Wow, that was fast. I think you're right on the money. Thank you for your quick reply and additional information.
