Dash Lights question

I own 97 Ranger and recently noticed that half my dash lights on my left side weren't working. The lights from the half of the speedometer and towards the right work great but dim out towards the left side to no lights. How would be the best way to fix it?

Welcome to the forum

You will need to pull out the cluster, and I would replace all 6 bulbs I think the bulb number is 194

Some change the color of the bulbs, up to you.

Google: 1997 ford ranger instrument cluster bulb replacement

There are several video How-Tos on removing the cluster to get to the bulbs

Wiring diagram for cluster below
There are TWO power wires, each wire powers 3 bulbs, there is a small chance that one of the wires is loose, but a long shot
There are 3 long connectors on the back of the cluster
C214-pin 8
C215-pin 4
Are the two power wires, look at bottom of diagram, 6 instrument bulbs
Both are Red/black stripe wires and both connect to Dimming Module

I would have a Volt meter handy, or 12v test light, to test these two wires for 12volts with parking lights on and dimmer turned up

This helped me to replace all the bulbs in my dash. I also changed the heat/ac bulbs also.
