Inside wearing of Front tires..
Hey all. I have a 2001 Ranger Edge and quite some time ago I cranked the T Bars to level out the truck. I went to get the allignment done but they said that I had to buy a camber kit?? I think thats what they said.. So i went back towards the original setting... I thought but now it seems like one side is different from the other.. The inside of my right front tire is wearing more then the left... Tighten the T Bar bolt or Loosen it? Thanks for the help..

Crank the bars back up to level, take the truck to another shop and have them do an alignment. Rotate the tires from the front to the back. Also you may need a camber kit, you may not. I had the bars on my 07 almost maxed out and I didn't need one. The shop that did my alignment had the camber kits on the shelf in case it was necessary

hmm.. so I checked the height from the top of the center of the tire to the bottom of the wheel well and the one side is 3 inches and the other is 6! I tightened the bolt to try to raise the shirt side and nothing... it is almost all the way in, I took it for a drive but no real change.. the truck actually leans to the side.. thats why my tire is wearing on the high side inside.. i am supposed to tighten to raise right?

the camber on the rangers are non adjustable, i know you need them when you lower, so you need them to retain specs when you lift
i say either camber kit, or worn out ball joints

ball joints? ok.. hmm.... the truck squeeks like hell when turned and when it bobs up and down... are the ball joints the pieces on the bottom of the a arm? they have a rubber boot on them? both of my boots are busted.. but having both busted why would only one side be lower?

A ten year old truck and there are questions on what Might be worn ?
It's great that people on here try to help with issues , but they sometimes overlook the big picture.
In a nutshell , the OP has worn out suspension parts .
We all can try to diagnose which ones they may be .
But it is rather difficult to wiggle a wheel from behind a keyboard a few hundred miles away and say "OH ,it's a ball joint"
To the OP:
You may be better off enlisting the help of some nearby members or mechanics referred to you by someone you trust who can do a "hands on ".
