Door ajar light

Door ajar light

SO for some reason my door ajar light will not go off. I checked my two back doors and they are properly closed. I greased everything and the ;light is still on. How do i fix this.

Spray some WD-40 on all door latches... Open and close multiple times.

I did that. I used fluid film tho not WD-40

Did you soak it? Spraying just a little doesn't seem to work... At least in my truck... I have to soak those things a few times every other month...

I will Spray some degreeser up in there and then try it again. Maybe there is a piece of dirt or something.

You could try disconnecting the door switch... maybe that just went bad...

I just had that happen to my 03 EDGE, the dinger and the light were on until reopened the door and slammed it shut.
if thats the case try spraying either the W-40 suggested above or some spray type White Lithium Grease in the holes near the door latch and direct it toward the latch.
Open and close the door a few tie and see if that helps if not you may need a new latch assembly.

Soak the f*uk out of it with WD-40. Its cheap and it might fix it.

Ya mine is still doing it. I checked all of the hinges and it looks like the bottom of the drivers side suicide door is not catching. So I am going to look in to that
