**edit** i see you said you have a 2001 book....Oops sorry! Tried to delete it but can't seem to... 🤦♀️
I am wondering if you could lend a hand decoding mine as well if thats alright :) I'm very new to actually learning more about my truck and new to the site as well. I've worked on it a bit on some small stuff but my friend and I are looking to do an axle swap so i thought its time to learn the guts of this thing haha. A few things I havent been able to figure out from the sticker/vin. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you! :)

When I was trying to sort out the axle, spring and paint codes on my Ranger, I realized the door sticker only gets you part of the picture — it’s great for quick ID, but some of the build details just aren’t there anymore or were changed by previous owners. Dealer printouts didn’t help much either, since half the time they’re missing minor packages or list outdated codes. The only thing that finally gave me a clean, consistent decode was running the VIN through a third-party window sticker lookup here https://carfast.express/en/window_sticker that one pulled the factory build sheet with all the codes exactly as the truck left the line, which made matching parts and verifying specs way easier than relying on the door sticker alone.
