Drive lights flashing

My drive lights are flashing sometimes. Not all the time, but the other night when i got home i shut my headlights off while the truck was still running and the drive lights would go dim then back up and just kept doing that. I got my buddy to come check it out but when i turned the truck on then it didn't do it. Any idea's of whats going on.

define drive lights. like as in headlights? you probably have a power issue, bad connection somewhere.

^^^ Correct - Daytime Running Lights, (DRLs for those who like acronyms) are required under Canadian law.

One drawback is that since your front headlights are always on while driving, the bulbs tend to burn out quicker - kind of logical, since they're always on while the vehicle is running.

As to the OP's original question, sounds like it may be something like a bad ground connection somewhere, or an intermittent short.
