Dust Caps

This may sound like a dumb question but what's the diameter of the dust caps on a 02 2wd Edge? It has the 11.28" rotors. Autozone was unwilling to help me out. Last time I changed the rotors one of the dust caps got pretty beat up and now I think it leaks a little bit when the grease gets hot. I don't want to ruin the bearing or spindle shaft so I need to get these stupid dust caps.

Thanks in advance.

edit: I just looked on Autozone's website. Are dust caps a universal size? 1 31/32"? Link

im pretty sure they are all the same... you could always take one off and take it to the store as a sample

I have seen two different diameter dust caps. Take one with you to match up the diameter.

Well I can't really take one off unless it's ok to drive without them on. I can't imagine driving without them is good because the grease could come out not to mention rocks, dust and other stuff getting in there. I've only got my truck.

Does anyone have the service manual that might have a ford part number? Or at least a size?

You might try going to the parts store and remove one in the parking lot then replace it before you drive home.
