it started with my right turn signal my factory harness only has 3 splices in it one on the left rear reverse line for my line of fire. and 2 of the headlight connectors that were done by a body-shop after my first accident, when i go to turn right my turn signal will blink once then the green arrow will stay on as well as the front signal itself and the rear won't do anything. I'm using an after market set of LED lights on my rear tails right now they both have there on control box that plugs into the factory light socket so there was no splicing there, when i put a stock bu;b back in i get a rapid flashing arrow and a rapid flashing front turn signal and nothing in the back. now i've started to notice some other problems, for example my left side tail will dim for a second then brighten up again by itself. and now my third brake light on the cab will come on by itself sometimes and stay on while I'm driving. it will go out either by itself or when i turn the running lights off. what is going on with my truck.

 

do a continuity check for any open wires, thats all i can think of for the moment, and right behing the bumper if you look up you will see two wire harnesses plugged together, which is were the rear lights wies com to the back the split off to the diferent head lights, also if owed a trailer recently and teh connection was wet that could also be the problem, it happened to my dads truck when the right signal woudn't flash after he hauled his trailer but after a few days it went back to normal,

 

i don't haul any trailers however the connector doesn't have a cover. and how do you do a continuity test

 

well, either get an ohm meter, multimeter, which has ohms and generaly has a coninuity, or just get a continuitly test light, which is cheper, and check from one end of the wire to another, extentions may need to be used, and i don't think the plug being uncovered will do anything other than having a corroded plug and not light up a trailer properly, but you could always try sme electra clean an just put the plug up on under the truck were it enerally stays dry
