Water in driver door.

Not sure if I'm posting this in the correct forum the site is having some trouble loading on my comp. Lately we've had a lot of rain in my area and I notice the other day when I was driving the sound of water splashing around! turns out I have water in my door. All my seals/ weatherstripping look fine so I don't know how this could be happening. I found a small black rubber "bumper" if you will near the bottom which drained some of the water out when removed, but not all. I am about to take a drill with a small bit to the bottom side of the door to drain it lol Has this happened to anyone else?

Also I never really noticed before but in the picture I attached, what is that black tab on the inside of the door? I can push it in or retract it out but has no effect that I know of... what is that for? Is it supposed to be in or out? Thanks in advance!

water will get into the door but it shouldnt stay there, check the drain holes along the bottom of the door to make sure they arent plugged.

the black tab is the clip that holds you door lock in, keep it pushed in.

Unplug the little drain tabs, and swing your door open and closed (you dont have to slam it or jerk it around)

The same thing happened to me. About a half gallon of water came out of my door lol. I never put the plugs back in.

I had this happen to me on a vehicle from my past and I ended up drilling two holes at the bottom. From time to time, I would also squirt some WD-40 in it to keep the rust down.
