So did we get an update or something? The site was all black yesterday and now it's light grey. Can I change it back?

Yes, the site was updated yesterday. IB (Internet Brands) has been planning this update for some time to keep the site in line with the theming of the other forums they own. Please share feedback with us as you explore the new theme and we will pass the info on to IB.

 

I am personally a fan of the darker colors and how they contrasted. Then again, that is just what I'm used to, and we know people dont like it when things change.

 

Normally the drop down menu on the very bottom left of the page lets you choose themes, but there's only one choice in this instance.

This current theme is really hard on the eyes too.

I don't like the change, a person gets used to something (that doesn't even need to be changed) and then for no apparent reason, it's different.
Some millennial came in here that gets paid to do something had to make themselves feel useful ???

Windows 10 is a prime example of that, especially in the last update, peoples stuff in my documents have disappeared after the update.

And it is hard on the eyes...

 

Maybe these colors are less expensive......................................... ....lol, you thought about for a second, admit it

Men don't like change women do
A woman marries a man thinking "he will change", and man marries a woman thinking "she won't change"
Both are disappointed :)

Women have lots of cloths and shoes, they like change and they like different
If a man likes "different" then he is headed for a divorce, because a man's "different" is not the same, lol

I'll get use to the new colors, I am married, a long while now, so colors change, I just get used to them over time

 

Unless I'm missing something, there is nothing to explore. No options. Some users may be happy with the change but I prefer dark themes. Darker themes are easier on the eyes, reducing eye strain and fatigue. I enjoy this site because it is full of information but I may visit less if my eyes hurt. Just saying. Please give us a color option.

 

Please know that we have heard and understand your concerns on color, and would like for you to continue giving us feedback on the rest of the updates that were made.

There were other changes made along with the colors. You may not notice them, but they've been added. That is what I meant by explore.

Got a new banner at the bottom of the screen, "quick reply", need to get rid of it, is there a way for me to do that?

 

This banner is part of the new "Infinite Scroll" feature. To disable it, you need to disable infinite scroll. To do this,

User CP> Edit Options> Go to section titled "Thread Display Options" > Click "Disable Infinite Scroll" > Save Changes

 

Is Infinite Scroll listed next to the dark theme option?

 

Found a work-around......"Dark Reader" extension for Chrome. Thanks Internet Brands!
