Icon4 Front frame bent in, fixable ?

Hey guys I’m a new ranger owner with a 06, lifted and cut. My most prized possession!
I got into a hit and run accident where someone sideswiped me on a rainy night leading to me losing control and hitting a tree (the tree isn’t there anymore, ranger always wins) I’m fine with no injuries. But now to the big question, HOW can I fix and and SHOULD I fix it ? The frame damage is extensive in front, auto body shops are scared to even try because they think it’s more damage (it isn’t, front frame really sums up the biggest problem) let me know what you guys think in regards to getting new frame or bending this one out.

yea...that frame can't be straightened safely and to pre accident condition, either replace the frame or scrap the truck

i agree with the body shops, i think the damage goes farther than the pictures lead, i bet there might be a little diamond to that frame

That frame is toast. It won't be cost effective to even try to fix it, nor will it be structurally sound. Cut your losses and either find a donor truck for the frame, or better yet a whole different truck and put the parts from your wrecked truck onto the new truck.

+1 ^^^^

Welcome to the forum

Its a 4x4 as well so I am sure insurance will total it, and if you buy it back you WILL have to replace the front frame and the front axle most likely
And another issue with a sudden stop like that is the engine, transmission and transfer case can get cracks or internal issues

So basically its a parts truck not rebuild-able, in my opinion
But you CAN try, no law against it, well...................actually there is, lol, if you change or straighten the front frame you need to get vehicle re-certified and if it passes you will get a "rebuilt" or "salvaged" Title so you can register it, that's assuming insurance has totaled it or there is an official record of the accident

Glad you are OK

Thanks guys, I knew I wasn’t gonna like the answers haha. I’m gonna drive it down the street to a auto body to get the final nail in the coffin about a fix. If anyone knows any front half frames for sale I’d appreciate the gesture.
If anyone knows of any trucks on the east coast available I’d be happy to take a look.
whatever the case, I’ll keep on truckin’.
Updates later for anyone that’s wants to know the outcome.
