Where to buy: bulk wire

I need to find some 18g wire, or smaller, in black w/ red, red w/ black, green and blue, that I can cut off of a roll to get only a small amount... What kind of a store am I looking for?

Delcity.net... I'd highly recommend them. They have killer deals on LED switches and shrink wrap... You name it. Check 'em out!

partsexpress.com usually has some clearance deals on bulk wire.

I've used them for over 15 years & no problems.

Home Depot and Lowes sells wire by the foot....Walmart sells wire in prepackaged rolls (say of 10' or 25') in colors.

So you're asking where to buy bulk wire, but only want a small amount? That makes sense...

when used an a retail type sense, the term bulk is used for an item that can be purchased at an amount that the buyer requires, not a pre-determined package size like most other things... ie. bulk food bins

have you ever made a beneficial contribution to this site?

Never heard that before but ok. So what is the difference between buying 10' of wire in "bulk" versus buying 10" of wire in a package? If you need X amount of wire, why would it matter how you are acquiring it?

I don't post pictures with one of my tires on a curb in a parking lot, so I've never made a true contribution.

a soldering iron and 15 feet, yes, that perfectly compares to 22awg and 10 inches...

I thought you meant to type ' instead of ", if you need 10 inches of wire then why in the hell would you need to buy it from a big roll? Unless you are poor and can't afford a normal sized amount I don't understand.

90-Ft. UL-Recognized Hookup Wire (22AWG) - RadioShack.com

What is wrong with that?

i needed 4 different colours, and i don't really need 90 feet of it, i could buy it, it's not the price thing, those rolls would just sit in the corner and gather dust though, and honestly, 22awg is overkill for what i'm using, even the 24awg is overkill... i don't need to spend $26 for 4 pieces of wire...

when i get my trck back from the body shop, i will be installing it, and if everything goes well, i have enough parts sitting in a plastic bag, that I can make another set for someone else's truck, and i'll sell them on here, not sure what the price will be though...
