gauge sticks

When I first start my truck after it has been sitting for a night the temp gauge

reads really low causing the check gauge light to turn on

and then the oil gauge is at the bottom. After driving for awhile the temp gauge

will slowly move up and the oil gauge will jump up to where it normally should be?

It is really cold here and wondering if that could be the culprit, every ford I have had has had problems with the gauges

I dont think the temp gauge is causing the CEL. Have the codes checked.

If the temp slowly comes up to normal you may need to replace the thermostat. The oil gauge could be the sender or a loose connection. I'd start with getting the codes read. Then go from there.

The oil gauge being low is what is causing the check guage light. The temp gauge is normal.Make sure your oil level is good.If it is it sounds like you need a oil sending unit.
