Headlights Flickering
Headlights Flickering
Hi guys, I've been looking all over to find a solution to this problem. I have a 2002 Ranger XLT. It has DRLs but they are starting to flicker. I think it could be one of two things. Either the DRL module is faulty or... I was under the truck and noticed one of the wires is nicked and the internal strands are starting to oxidize, possibly causing a faulty connection. Either way, I need to un-hook the wire bundle from the DRL module to fix it but I'm not sure how to do it. It seems pretty straight forward that I just press the tab and un-hook the connector, but it's not coming off. Does anyone have a picture (or even better, a video) of what the module and connector look like after they are disconnected? I just hate driving around with my lights flickering at everyone.
Thanks
Thanks
If its like most ford connectors you either push the tab in and pull. Being an under body connector it will be resistant to coming apart.
If more than just the headlights are flickering its a sign of the diodes fried in the alternator.
