Headlights turning on randomly

I've just started having this issues where the headlights would randomly turn on. Not the DRL (which the car has). It also doesn't have the "AUTO" option on the headlight switch.

I've removed the headlight switch, and a remote start that was put it, and they STILL come on.

Here's two diagrams that i'm following:

If I pull fuse F23 (30A) they go off. OR if turn on my high beams, the lights go out. This is with the car completely off, key out. That's been my workaround, high beams soon as I park. Or I awake to a dead battery.

Following the diagram, it seems if I have the headlight swtich in OFF or removed, that voltage shouldn't continue. Unless it was something with the "DRL DRIVER" ?

I assume the issue is the SJB, but I really don't want to source a new one... Any advice?

Thanks

I would attempt to unplug the DRL module if possible, and see if that helps.

It is also possible that the multifunction switch is the culprit, since the headlights sort of run through that. Things get crazy after 04 as far as wiring goes, so I can't definitely say one way or the other. Hopefully RonD chimes in.

I believe with me having an 09, the DRL module was removed and integrated into the SJB? I'll try replacing the multifunction switch first.

I don't know if it was integrated or not. I don't *think* so, but I could be wrong.

Not to bump an old thread. But just incase any lurkers finds this thread, and has a similar problem.

It ended up being the turn signal stalk (multi function switch), the DRL is infact integrated into the SJB..

I believe what caused this was the remote start, it was wired into the headlight switch, and caused excessive amount of current to flow through that circuit. As there was damage inside the multi function switch.
