Hi Guys! I'm new here so forgive me if I'm in the wrong forum for this. But it seemed to be the closest forum for my question.

I'm in the process of restoring a 1983 Ford Ranger. The interior isn't just terrible, but I am in need of an A-Pillar post or garnish molding. It's the drivers side interior molding that runs down beside the windshield and connects above the drivers side door.

I've checked numerous parts houses and e-bay but cannot seem to locate one. I'm not concerned about the color, as I will need to refinish the molding anyway. The answer I get from many of the salvage yards is that most of these trucks have been sent to the crusher. I'm running out of options.

Any advice or ideas on where I might could locate one of these would be much appreciated. -- Chris

 

Yes, thats about right when a vehicle isn't a "classic", strip'um and crush'um

LMC has older Ford parts, some interior, might be worth a call: 1983-2010 Ford Ranger 1984-1990 Ford Bronco II Truck Parts > LMC Truck > Pick Up Truck Parts

Also try your local craigslist, post want to buy interior parts 1983 ranger

Not sure if that was specific to '83, could be similar on later models
If you have the other side it may have a part number on it, you may be able to use that to see if later years used the same number, if so it might be easier to find

 

Thanks for your reply. Yes Sir, I have actually bought quite a few parts already from LMC. Unfortunately, they do not have this A- Pillar nor do they have the instrument panel bezel. I'm looking for one of those as well.
